What can I put above and below the date?
Most people use their business name on one line and a word such as Received, Paid, Approved or Entered on the other. An account number, an initials line or a short address also works. Keep each line short so the type stays large enough to read.
Do I need a separate ink pad?
No. A self-inking stamp holds its ink pad inside the body, so the stamp re-inks itself each time you lift it. There is nothing loose to carry between desks and nothing open to dry out or tip over on paperwork.
What do I need to send to order a date stamp?
The exact wording for each line, spelled the way you want it printed, since the plate is made to your text. If you want a logo on the stamp, send it as clean line art. A stamp prints in one solid color, so photos and gradients will not reproduce.
