How does one-way vision window film work?
The film is covered in small holes. Your artwork is printed on the outward face, and the inside face is black, so from the bright street the eye reads the printed image, while from the darker room inside the eye looks through the holes and sees out. Light levels are what make the effect work.
What artwork works best on perforated window graphics?
Bold shapes, large type and strong contrast. The holes remove a share of the printed surface, so fine lines, small text and detailed photos lose definition up close. Design for someone reading from across the sidewalk or a parking lot and keep the message to a few words.
