When do I need white ink backing on a window decal?
On clear vinyl, printed colors are translucent, so light from behind washes them out and white areas of your design print as clear. A white ink backing sits under the color and keeps it solid and bright. Choose it for logos and lettering on clear vinyl; opaque vinyl already has a white base.
What is the difference between a window decal and a window cling?
A decal has adhesive and is meant to stay: it bonds to the glass for permanent or semi-permanent use and is removed by peeling, not reused. A cling holds by static, comes off easily and can be reapplied. Choose a decal for lettering, logos and hours; a cling for short-term promotions.
How do I order a window decal in a custom size?
Measure the glass area, allowing a margin from the frame, and send those dimensions with your artwork. Vector files work best for lettering and logos; images should be 300 dpi at the finished size. Decals are made to order in Mount Ida, AR, in quantities of 1, 5 or 10, ready in 5 business days.
