Capacity Folders: questions
Should I choose 14pt or 16pt stock for a folder?
14pt is the everyday choice and handles a normal document set. 16pt is stiffer and keeps its shape when the folder is packed full or carried in and out of a bag, which is what you want for proposals and closing packets.
How do I supply artwork for a capacity folder?
Work flat at 18 x 12 inches with 0.125 inch of bleed and a 0.25 inch safe zone, using a die layout so the panels, pockets and spine land in the right place. Keep type off the fold and glue areas, and send both sides as one PDF at 300 dpi.
What is the minimum order for capacity folders?
Runs are 100, 250, 500 and 1,000. Start at 100 if this is a new design or the contents change often, then reorder once you have used a set in front of customers. Folders are made to order in Mount Ida and ready in 5 business days.
