Custom Die-Cut Prints: questions
What shapes can you cut?
Circles, squares, rectangles and ovals are set shapes you can pick from, and a custom cut follows any outline you supply. Sizes run from 2 to 5 inches. Very thin points and narrow necks are worth avoiding, since they tear in normal handling.
How do I supply the cut line for a custom shape?
Draw the outline as a single vector path on its own layer, and keep it separate from the artwork. Run background color 0.125 inch past that path and hold text 0.125 inch inside it. Export a PDF with the path intact so the cut line survives.
How few die-cut prints can I order?
Runs start at 50, then 100, 250, 500 and 1,000. Order a small run first when a shape is new, so you can see the cut in hand before committing to a larger batch. Prints are made to order in Mount Ida and ready in 5 business days.
