Should I choose a bi-fold or a tri-fold menu?

A bi-fold folds once for four panels and suits a shorter menu with large type. A tri-fold folds twice for six narrower panels, which works when you have distinct sections such as starters, mains, sides and drinks that need to stay apart.

How do I lay out a folded menu file?

Set the document up flat at the unfolded size, not as separate panels, with 0.125 inch of bleed all round. Keep headings and prices at least 0.125 inch away from each fold so nothing lands in the crease, and send both sides as one PDF at 300 dpi.

How many folded menus should I order?

Runs are 25, 50, 100 and 250. Count your tables, then add a set to replace the ones that get damaged during service, plus a few for takeout and the front window. Menus are made to order in Mount Ida and ready in 5 business days after the file check.
