Giclee Printing Services: questions
What is giclee printing and how is it different from a regular print?
Giclee is fine art inkjet printing with archival pigment inks on museum-grade substrates. Ours prints at 2400 DPI with an expanded color gamut, so gradations stay smooth and saturated colors hold. Compared with a standard poster print, the inks and papers are chosen to be fade resistant and rated for 100+ years.
How do you make sure the print matches my original artwork?
Start with a color matching session, where we compare your original or your file against test prints on your chosen substrate. Every file is checked for resolution and color before printing. Once you approve a test print, the edition is printed to match it.
Can I order a numbered limited edition with certificates?
Yes. Tell us the edition size and how many artist proofs you want, and we produce numbered prints with certificates of authenticity for each one. Order one print to start and approve a test print; further prints in the edition are made to match. Ready in 5 business days.
