Struck to hold detail
Die striking presses the design into the metal, so lettering and insignia stay sharp under handling.
Numbered one by one
Sequential numbering ties each coin to a member, a year or a presentation, and makes a set traceable.
Five plating finishes
Antique brass, antique silver, polished gold, black nickel or dual plating change the whole feel of a coin.
Medallions & Challenge Coins: questions
What is the difference between a die struck and a die cast coin?
A die struck coin is stamped from a metal blank under pressure, which compresses the metal and holds crisp lettering and relief. Die casting pours metal into a mold, which suits unusual outlines and cut-outs. 3D molding gives sculpted depth across the face.
What artwork do you need for a custom challenge coin?
Vector line art works best, because the design has to be cut into a die. Keep lettering bold enough to survive at coin size, and name the enamel colors you want filled in. If all you have is a sketch or a unit patch, send it and we will say what needs redrawing.
What is the minimum order for challenge coins?
One hundred pieces. Send the size you want between 1.5 and 3 inches, the finish, and whether you need a custom shape, cut-outs or sequential numbering, and we will quote from there. Tell us the presentation date and we will confirm what is workable.
