What is the difference between clear, frosted and white plastic cards?
Clear plastic is fully transparent, so your design appears to float and anything behind the card shows through. Frosted is translucent with a soft, etched look that hides fingerprints. White is opaque and prints like a regular card, with the durability of plastic. Choose white if you need bright, accurate color.
Do I need white ink or a special file for clear plastic cards?
Set up the file at 3.5" x 2" with 0.125" bleed and a 0.125" safe zone, just as you would for paper. On clear or frosted plastic, any area you leave unprinted stays see-through, so plan which parts should be transparent and which should carry color. Our file check flags anything that needs a change before printing.
How many plastic cards can I order, and how soon are they ready?
Order 100, 250, 500, 1,000 or 2,500. Plastic cards last much longer than paper, so a run of 250 or 500 can cover a year for one person. Once your artwork passes our file check, they are ready in 5 business days.
