25mil is the thicker of the two and holds more firmly, so it stays put on a fridge that already carries school notes and photos. 17mil is thinner and lighter, which suits a magnet you are mailing. Both print full color across the face.
What should go on a magnet that lives on a fridge?
Keep it to what someone needs at a glance: your name, your phone number and one line about what you do. Set the file up at the size you order with 0.125" bleed and keep text 0.125" inside the trim, further in if you choose rounded corners.
How many postcard magnets are in a run?
