Matching numbers to draw
Sequential numbering puts the same number on the stub and the ticket, so the draw is straightforward.
A stub that tears clean
The perforation lets you separate the stub at the table without scissors or a ragged edge.
Thick enough to handle
14pt and 16pt stock stands up to a night in a pocket or a bucket without going limp.
Raffle Tickets: questions
Do raffle tickets have to be numbered and perforated?
Both are optional. Sequential numbering and a perforated stub are the usual pair for a prize draw, because the buyer keeps one half and you keep the matching number. Leave both off if you are printing an admission ticket that just gets collected at the door.
What information should be on a raffle ticket?
Put the event name, the prize, the draw date and your organization on the ticket face, and a name and phone line on the stub so you can reach the winner. Set the file up at 5.5" x 2" with 0.125" bleed, keeping text clear of the trim and the perforation.
How many raffle tickets should I print?
Runs are 100, 250, 500 and 1,000. Print more than you expect to sell, since sellers hold books back and returns are common, and tell us the number the sequence should start at. Tickets are ready in 5 business days after your file check.
