#10 Standard Envelopes: questions
What is the difference between a #10 and a #9 envelope?
A #10 is the standard business size and holds a letter folded in three. A #9 is slightly smaller, so it fits inside a #10 — the usual pairing when you send a reply envelope out with an invoice or a statement. Both print the same way.
How do I set up artwork for a #10 envelope?
Build the file at 9.5 x 4.125 inches with no bleed, and keep your logo and return address at least a quarter inch inside the edges. Send a PDF at 300 dpi in CMYK. We check resolution, position and color before anything prints.
How many envelopes should I order at a time?
Runs are 250, 500, 1,000 and 2,500. Choose 250 or 500 if your address or logo may change soon, and 1,000 or 2,500 if you mail statements every week. Envelopes are ready in 5 business days once your artwork passes our file check.
