A-1 Invitation Envelopes: questions
What size card fits in an A-1 envelope?
The envelope is 3⅝" × 5⅛", so a card around 3½" × 4⅞" slips in with a little clearance. That covers most RSVP cards, gift enclosures and small note cards. Measure your card before ordering if it was trimmed to a custom size.
How small can the printing be on an A-1 envelope?
Keep type large enough to stay legible on a small face, and hold everything at least ¼" in from the edges and off the flap. Vector logos hold detail best; if you only have a raster file, supply it at 300 dpi at the size it will print.
How many A-1 envelopes should I order for an event?
Runs are 250, 500, 1,000 and 2,500. Order more than your guest count so there is room for spoiled ones and late additions — hand-addressing always costs a few. Envelopes are ready in 5 business days once your file passes our check.
