#10 Universal Envelopes: questions
What is the difference between a #10 universal envelope and a regular #10?
Both are 4⅛" × 9½", the standard business size that takes a letter folded in thirds. The universal style places the window wider on the face, so address blocks generated by most accounting software line up inside it instead of running past the edge.
How should I set up artwork for a #10 envelope?
Build the file at 9½" × 4⅛" and keep type, logos and your return address at least ¼" in from every edge and away from the flap and seams. Send a 300 dpi PDF in CMYK. We check resolution, position and color before anything is printed.
How many #10 envelopes can I order, and how long do they take?
Runs are 250, 500, 1,000 or 2,500 envelopes. Once your artwork passes our file check, your order is ready in 5 business days. If your address or phone number changes often, a run of 250 or 500 keeps you from sitting on stock you can't use.
