Room for a 4" × 6" card
At 4¼" × 6¼" a photo card or greeting card slides in and out without bending a corner.
Announcements, not letters
The taller shape suits cards and announcements that would look lost in a business envelope.
All-over printing
Run your design across the full outside, or keep a single logo on the front for a quieter look.
A-4 Invitation Envelopes: questions
What is the difference between an A-4 and an A-6 envelope?
Size. The A-4 is 4¼" × 6¼" and suits greeting cards and 4" × 6" photo cards. The A-6 is 4¾" × 6½", a little roomier, which is what you want for a quarter-sheet flyer or a card with a thicker insert.
Can I print photos or a full-color pattern on the envelope?
Yes. Choose full outside printing and supply the image at 300 dpi in CMYK at the finished size. Photos and patterns look best when the important part sits away from the flap and the seams, where the surface is not perfectly flat.
How many A-4 envelopes should I order for a card mailing?
Runs are 250, 500, 1,000 and 2,500. Match the run to your list, then add a few percent for mistakes and last-minute additions. If you send cards every year, the larger runs keep the design consistent. Ready in 5 business days after the file check.
