Which paper should I pick for letterhead?
24lb bond is the everyday choice and runs well through laser and inkjet printers. 28lb bond is a little heavier and feels more substantial. 70lb offset is heavier again and suits mailed proposals, while linen adds a subtle woven texture for a formal look.
How do I set up a letterhead file with bleed?
Build the page at 8.5x11 with 0.125 inch bleed on any edge where color runs off, and keep logos and text at least 0.25 inch inside the trim. Letterhead prints on one side, so send a single-page PDF with fonts embedded or outlined.
How many sheets should I order?
Quantities run 250, 500, 1,000 or 2,500 sheets. Order enough to cover your regular mailing volume, and keep a reserve for proposals and printed invoices. Your order is ready in 5 business days once the file passes our check.
