What is BOPP, and how does it compare to paper labels?
BOPP is biaxially oriented polypropylene, a thin plastic film. Unlike paper, it does not absorb water or oil, does not tear easily and keeps its color when wet, which is why it is a common choice for food, beverage, bath and cleaning products. White BOPP is opaque; clear BOPP lets the container show through.
Can white BOPP labels go in the refrigerator or on cold bottles?
Yes. The film resists water and condensation, so it suits drinks, sauces and anything stored cold. Apply to a clean, dry container at room temperature and let the adhesive set before chilling; that gives the strongest bond.
