Greeting Cards: questions
Which stock suits a greeting card with a photo?
14pt gloss keeps photographic color bright and sharp. 14pt matte and 16pt matte are calmer and take a pen if people sign them. 13pt linen has a woven texture for a formal card, and 18pt kraft is a heavy brown stock with a handmade feel.
Can the cards be printed with my message inside?
Yes. Choose printing on both sides and your greeting, signature line or offer prints along with the artwork. Send the exact wording with your file, including any names, dates and titles, because what you send is what prints on every card in the run.
How early should I order cards for a season?
Work back from your mailing date. Cards are made to order and ready in 5 business days once your artwork has passed the file check, so leave time for that plus addressing and postage. Runs are 100, 250, 500, 1,000 and 2,500.
