How does color print on kraft stock?
Kraft is brown and uncoated, so ink sinks in and every color prints warmer and darker than it looks on screen. Dark inks and solid black look strong, while pale colors fade and white does not show at all. Build the artwork around bold, simple color.
What artwork works best on kraft postcards?
Line art, logos, type and one or two strong colors. Photographs lose contrast on a brown ground, so treat them as duotones or keep them small. Build the file at final size with 0.125 inch of bleed and keep text 0.125 inch inside the trim.
Can I mail kraft postcards?
Yes. Choose a size that suits your mailing and leave a clear area on one side for the address and postage. The uncoated surface takes a pen or a label without smudging. Runs are 100 to 2,500 and are ready in 5 business days after your file check.
