Postcards: questions
Which postcard stock should I choose?
14pt gloss is the everyday choice and makes photos bright. 14pt and 16pt matte cut glare and take pen ink better. 13pt linen has a woven texture for invitations, and 18pt kraft is a heavy, uncoated brown sheet with a natural look.
Do I need to leave space for an address?
If you are mailing the cards, print the back and leave the right-hand portion clear for the address and postage, with no background art or text in that area. If you are handing them out, use the whole back. Check size and layout rules with your post office first.
What quantities of postcards can I order?
Runs are 100, 250, 500, 1,000 and 2,500. Send a 300 dpi CMYK PDF for each side with 0.125" bleed and text kept 0.125" inside the trim. Once your files pass our check, postcards are ready in 5 business days.
